July 2008

Unfortunately from September I will no longer be able to run Messy Mitts weekly classes at any of my previous venues. I am however still able to offer one off ad-hoc sessions at nurseries/ playgroups and other pre-school groups. Please contact me for more information via e-mail.

May & June 2008

The Headcorn class is running this term and seems to be a popular class, so if you are wishing to join please let me know so that I can put your name on the waiting list. June and July's themes include Body art, Seaside, Animals, Hats and Holidays/Days out.

March 2008

This terms themes include :- Bugs and insects, Balloons, Spring, Space, and Easter. We will be having lots of fun experimenting with some new materials aswell as our usual activities of messy play, playdough and Easel work.

I have had a few Mum's asking for my playdough recipe so here it is:-

Long Life Playdough:-

2 cups of water, 2 cups of plain flour, 4 tsp cream of tartar, 1 cup of salt, 2tsp vegetable oil. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and mix. Stir constantly over a medium heat, the dough will eventually come away from the saucepan. Turn out and leave to cool, knead before use. Store in an air tight container.

Firstly I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year and to welcome any new members to Messy Mitts workshops.

A big thank you and well done to all of you that managed to dress up for our last session before Christmas. It was nice to see the little ones with their individual Christmas sparkle added to their clothing.

Themes

This terms themes are as follows:-

Week 1- Winter, Week 2- Sea Creatures, Week 3- Dinosaurs, Week 4- Patterns,

Week 5-Transport, Week 6- Dressing up

Missed Classes

Messy Mitts classes are pre-booked which means that if you miss a session due to illness, holiday or an appointment of some kind, the session still has to be paid for. However, if you are able to make another day during the week at an alternative location, I will do my best to accommodate you.
