Hi, I am Toni and I am the organiser and founder of Messy Mitts. I have always had a passion for art, and studied fine art painting at degree level and have worked as a primary school teacher for 5 years  teaching art as well as other curriculum subjects. Three years ago I had a child of my own and decided that I wanted to start up my own business using the knowledge that I have gained through these experiences.

At Messy Mitts we run various classes and workshops which offer children art and messy play activities in a playful, fun, relaxed and social atmosphere.

The workshops allow the children to be creative without the usual constraints that they might have at home. I know as a Mum that it is difficult to find time to organise and do creative activities on a regular basis. I also know that for some it is a chore to have to clear up all the mess after such art activities. During the workshops children will be able to be experimental with a wide range of activities and resources in a safe, secure environment.

Each of the workshops run under a ‘themed’ heading with at least six different activities, some are structured with the aim of making something your child can take home whilst others are more informal such as a messy play tray and play-dough. The workshops are aimed at being fun for the children and the adults accompanying them who will need to stay for the sessions.

Please take a look at some of the feedback from previous classes. I look forward to seeing you and your child at one of our classes.

I am also now pleased to be able to offer you the chance to have Messy Mitts come to your child's party to be creative for an hour or two. Bookings can be made for a party with a particular theme or activity in mind, for any age group at any venue in the local area. Please e-mail me for further details and prices.
